ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREKKING |
Annapurna Circuit Trekking is Standard trek within the mountain ranges of central Nepal. The total length of the trekking routes depends on where motors transportation is used and where the trek is end. This trek crosses two different river valleys and surrounds the Annapurna massif. The path achieves its excessive point at Thorung la pass (5416m/17769ft.) touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau. Virtually all trekkers hike the route anticlockwise, as this way the daily altitude gain is slower, and crossing the high Thorong La pass is easier and safer. In addition to the Annapurna Circuit trek, Annapurna Seven Passes trek or Annapurna Seven Hills trek is also popular in the region. But, this is less sail and is off the beaten path trek in the region. The Annapurna Circuit weather is favorable to all seasons. While a significant part of the Himalayas can't journey in the wet season, a great part of the Annapurna circuit really sits inside a downpour shadow. This means that it is possible to trek most parts of the circuit all year round, including the monsoon period. Please note that despite the efforts of ACAP there are still some wild swings in pricing that will surprise. For some reason, the region between Tal and chame is more expensive than from Chame to Manang which is more difficult to access. Generally this region is much less expensive than the Everest Base Camp trekking region. Most guest houses along the circuit offer more or less the same menu, though some guest houses may better pasta, noodles, and sandwiches than other. These menus consist of Nepali typical food and varieties of fried rice, chow-mien, fried Potatoes, Momos, pizza, Indian dishes, muesli, toast and burgers etc. This is a teahouse trek, there are villages with lodges and restaurants to eat and stay in along the entire route. You are expected to eat breakfast and dinner in the same lodge here you are sleeping the night. Before you go, check on the status of the road being built on the eastern portion of the trek Besisahar to chame.
