The first successful climb of Mt. Putha Hiunchuli was in 1954 by J. O. M. Roberts and Ang Nyima Sherpa via Western Face. In the 1990s and 2000s, Putha attracted small-scale expedition teams as it served as a good peak for acclimatization climbs and training before attempting higher-level peaks.
During those years, it also gained commercial popularity. In 2017, Maya Sherpa, a female mountaineer of Nepal, climbed Putha as a part of her training. It is one of the easier 7000m peaks in Nepal with fewer crowds. Since its first ascent, popularity has grown, and it's been in many commercial expedition catalogs.
The base camp for Mt. Putha Hiunchuli is at an altitude of around 4,575 m (15,009 ft.), which is considered the staging ground for the ascent and its preparation. From here, climbers may prepare for the physical and technical climb ahead. The popular and usual way to reach the top of Mt. Putha Hiunchuli is by way of the west ridge; a route that features steep ice and mixed terrain.
Climbers should be well-prepared for technical challenges such as ice climbing, crevasse navigation, and high-altitude conditions. Weather conditions on Mt. Putha Hiunchuli are not predictable because of its rapid changes in temperature and conditions, which require climbers to be adaptable and alert.
A successful ascent demands not only physical strength but also a high level of technical skill and mental flexibility Challenges. The Mt. Putha Hiunchuli Expedition is a significant challenge and an extraordinary adventure for beginner climbers and experienced mountaineers. Its remote location, mesmerizing beauty of the Himalayan overlook, technical demands, and cultural richness make it an interesting choice for those seeking to push their limits and experience the raw beauty of Nepal's Himalayas. Choose an experienced provider.

However, only around 45 to 50 companies regularly operate expeditions on peaks of 7,000 meters and above, including 8,000-meter mountains. We at Satori Adventures are proud to be among these few elite companies, consistently organizing and successfully running high-altitude expeditions with an excellent success rate.
It is very important that the climbers who choose Satori Adventures for this trip of a lifetime have expectations that are compatible with the program we offer and the style of expedition Satori Adventures runs. We aim to assemble a team of compatible climbers committed to summiting, prioritizing safety and support, not just filling expedition spaces.
